Who I am
From Mac Guff in 2007 to the world’s biggest sets, and back to the layout chair.
I started at Mac Guff Paris in 2007, learning layout the proper way before the world went massive. From there I spent 15 years on the floors of ILM, MPC, DNEG and Animal Logic (Paris, Montreal, Sydney) building shots for Dune Part Two, Furiosa, Fast X, Game of Thrones and more.
Teaching at ARTFX Lille rewired me. I saw students and indie directors making the same brutal pre-prod mistakes I’d watched eat seven-figure sequences alive, just with no budget and no second take. So I rebuilt my practice around visual narration consulting: empathetic, direct, zero hijacking of your vision.
And honestly? Time flies. I’m back at Mac Guff right now on a Netflix France feature, still doing the craft I love. I take selective freelance and contract work in rough & final layout, previs, postvis and techvis because the only way to stay sharp as a mentor is to keep my hands dirty in production.
