Workshops for schools
I teach the next generation what the trenches actually taught me.
Guest instructor at ARTFX Lille. I run layout and visual narration workshops for 4th- and 5th-year students.
No theory. Real fixes. Students leave with clearer pacing, stronger camera logic, and the confidence to defend their vision.
"Greg demonstrated excellent teaching skills. He supported every group with a positive and supportive approach, adapting easily to a wide variety of film styles. He helped students overcome staging challenges while fully respecting their creative vision."

From Random Action to Story-Driven Emotional Battle: Camera Logic Fixed
The struggle: A student had strong staging instincts and a good eye for cinematography. The battle scene looked dynamic on the surface with solid movement and framing. But even in an intense fight, the story drives the camera. Shots felt random, cuts didn’t build tension, pacing stayed flat. The audience watched action without feeling the emotional stakes.
What we fixed: We went back to basics and asked: Whose story is this? Who’s winning or losing at each moment and how do we make the audience feel it? We used the full camera toolbox (high/low angles, distance, composition) to serve the emotional arc. We rebuilt around story-first camera logic, increased pacing for rising intensity, created smoother transitions where each shot flows into the next like a dance, and guided the audience from wide shots to intimate close-ups.
The outcome: The sequence is now dramatically stronger with refined cuts, smoother transitions, tighter pacing, and real emotional build. It blends story, action, and emotion perfectly. A scattered fight scene became purposeful cinematic storytelling.

Why Me
My Unfair Edge.
I respect your unique vision. I almost burned out twice trying to impose mine on other people's films. Never again. My job is to make your story land harder, not turn it into mine.
01
Big-studio cinematic eye
15 years on Dune, Furiosa, Fast X, GoT. I know what reads on screen — and what gets cut in the edit.
02
Battle-tested in the trenches
Paris, Montreal, Sydney. 50+ projects. I've made every mistake already, so you don't have to.
03
Empathetic, never dictatorial
I don't tell you 'do it this way.' I show you multiple viable paths and help you pick the one that's truly yours.
Questions
Things people
actually ask.
How long does the support take?
It depends on the offer. The Layout Tune-Up is a single 60–90 min intensive session, with actionable fixes delivered in 48–72h and a week of follow-up support. The Previs Roadmap runs 3–4 weeks, with a 3-hour kick-off plus weekly 90-min sessions. The Story Navigator is a monthly engagement with a 2-month minimum, so we have enough runway to actually move the needle.
Is this only for professionals or also for students?
Both. I work with indie directors and small studios in active pre-production, and with ARTFX / e-artsup students and graduates preparing thesis films or their first commissioned work. Student rates are available, just ask during the diagnostic call.
Do you do technical layout work or only narrative/story guidance?
My focus here is visual narration and story clarity, not executing your shots. I help you make the right creative and camera decisions so your team (or you) can lay out with intent. If you need hands-on layout production specifically, we can talk about it separately.
I’m based outside France, does this work?
Absolutely. Sessions run on Zoom or Google Meet, and I adjust to your timezone within reason.
How do we start?
Book the free 20-min Diagnostic. We look at where you're stuck, I tell you honestly whether I can help, and if yes, we pick the offer that fits. No hard sell. If it's not a match, I'll point you somewhere better.
— Last Call —
Ready to escape revision hell and make your story land?
20 minutes. No pitch. Just an honest conversation about what's blocking your film and whether I'm the right person to help.
